# OpenPlanr Share

Skill family: Status, routing and sync.

Turn the status report, the current sprint or the latest release notes into a team update, as a chat draft you approve and send.

Share a status report, sprint note or release notes with the team as a chat message draft that the user approves and sends. Use when the user asks to post a planning update to chat.

## Run it

- Claude Code: `/share`. If /share runs another command, use /planr:share.
- Codex: `$share`. With the OpenPlanr plugin for Codex, use $planr:share.
- Cursor: `@planr-share`. Cursor applies the planr-share rule when you mention it in chat.

## Use it to

- Share the delivery status, sprint note or release notes with the team in chat
- Post a planning update to a chat channel as a draft

## Not for

- Report delivery status without sharing it
- Write or publish release notes

Share runs only when you invoke it. It shows the exact text and the destination before it creates a draft, and you send the message yourself. With no chat connected, it prints the update ready to paste.

OpenPlanr installs no chat connector and stores no credential: you connect your chat product through your coding agent. See [Connections](https://openplanr.dev/docs/get-started/connections.md), or run [Connect](https://openplanr.dev/docs/skills/connect.md) to see what is connected.
